We went on a leaf hunt today at the pond. We discovered that there are so many different sizes shapes and color of leaves. Ask me to tell you about the leaf that I found. We used our science eyes to zoom in and sketch our leaves adding every detail that we noticed. Did you know that some leaves had a tiny crack in it, or that some felt crunch and some were soft?

What is perseverance?

Here is our first 5 words from our new sight word list! This week's words are: do all under on at This is our poem of the week: This week we are talking all about perseverance. Then, we drew pictures of a time that we thought something was hard but had to persevere to accomplish it. We drew before and after pictures of what it looks and feels like to persevere! Some of us drew about learning how to ride a bike, swim, skate, climb monkey bars, and play hockey. REMINDERS: We seem to have a fruit fly problem ...

Curriculum Term Letter

Each grade team has created a Curriculum Term Letter to communicate with families about the learning that their child will be doing from September to December. The term plan specifies curricular outcomes that the grade will be focusing their instruction and assessment around. It is our hope that this letter will begin to provide you with a clear picture of your child’s learning over the year. You can find your child’s Curriculum Term Letter on our school website under Classes & Departments and the Resources on the right hand side of the page.   For further information on the Alberta Program of Studies, please visit the Learn Alberta website: https://www.learnalberta.ca/content/mychildslearning/ Housekeeping: **Tomorrow (Wednesdays) is our library day.
